BOASC Building Officials Mobilization

The mission of the South Carolina Building Officials’ Mobilization Plan is to protect life, property, and communities by providing a coordinated, efficient, and professional statewide response of qualified building officials, inspectors, permit technicians, and other code professionals during disasters and emergencies. Through cooperation, mutual aid, and effective resource deployment, the Plan supports local jurisdictions when their capabilities are exceeded, assists in the timely assessment of damaged structures, promotes safe recovery and re-entry, and helps South Carolina communities restore essential building and code enforcement services following an emergency.
