Code Interpretation Committee

The mission of the Building Officials Association of South Carolina (BOASC) Codes Interpretation Committee is to promote consistency, collaboration, and professional excellence in the interpretation and application of South Carolina’s adopted building codes.

The Committee serves as a statewide resource for BOASC members by providing a professional forum where building officials, inspectors, plans examiners, and other code professionals can share knowledge, discuss challenging or recurring code issues, and benefit from the collective experience of jurisdictions throughout South Carolina.
